“ChargePoint Charging Station next to the Marriott. There are about six stations that have a reasonable hourly charge fee. $1.50 per hour. Once you charge for 4 or more hours, you’re charged an additional parking fee of $10/hour (set by the “property owner,” which I think is the city); in addition to the ChargePoint charging fees. Make sure to download the app and look for the "quick charge" kiosk it needing a short time boost. So this is a decent option if you keep it under four hours. I use it regularly in the off-season but haven’t tried it during the summer yet. “Convenient charging next to Marriott Newport. The rate was $1.50 per hour for the 1st 4 hours and then $10 an hour thereafter. The jump in price is obviously an attempt to deter drivers from hogging spaces. However, during the off season it would make sense to allow drivers to park for longer periods since demand wanes and colder temperatures require longer charging peridiods.
