“I recently stopped at the Tesla Supercharger in Altoona and overall had a very good experience. The location at the Sheetz on Pleasant Valley Blvd is convenient off I-99, with plenty of amenities just steps away — food, drinks, restrooms, and a spot to stretch while waiting for a charge. � Tesla Charging was reliable and generally quick, though during peak times a few stalls were occupied and speeds were a bit slower than expected. The layout could use a bit more space for non-Tesla EVs or larger vehicles, but it served its purpose well. The area felt well-lit and safe for an evening stop. “The Sheetz is busy so keep an eye out when getting to and out of the chargers area as the drive thru is like oncoming traffic. Seating area in the Sheetz lets you keep an eye on your vehicle. Chargers themselves weren't full on the Wednesday evening in the summer when I stopped to charge. Not much else in walking distance.
