Terms of Use
Plain rules for using Zevvy. By using the website or app you agree to them.
Last updated: 2 November 2026
1. Who we are
Zevvy is operated by Watermelon Group Private Limited ("we", "us"). These terms are an agreement between you and us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data, and it forms part of this agreement.
2. What Zevvy is
Zevvy helps people find electric vehicle chargers and plan trips. We are an information service. We do not own or run the chargers listed, and we do not sell charging.
3. Check before you rely on it
Charger information comes from public datasets, charging networks, our own team and other drivers. It can be out of date or wrong. A charger may be broken, busy, closed, a different speed or price, or fitted with a different plug than we show. Routes, charging stops, ranges and battery estimates are estimates, not promises, and real conditions change them.
Always keep a safety margin of charge, check the charger's own display or app, and have a backup plan. Where our page says we do not know something, we have left it blank rather than guess.
4. Safety
Do not use Zevvy while you are driving in a way that takes your eyes or hands off the road. Follow traffic laws and the instructions of charger operators and site owners. You are responsible for your own safety and your vehicle.
5. Your account
- Give accurate information, and keep your sign-in method secure.
- One person, one account. You are responsible for what happens under it.
- Tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- You can delete your account at any time by writing to us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
6. What you post
"Your content" means reviews, driver check-ins, notes, photos, display names and feedback.
- You keep ownership of your content.
- You give us a free, worldwide, non-exclusive licence to store, show, adapt for display, and moderate it on Zevvy, and to use it in anonymous or combined form (for example "reported working by 4 drivers"). The licence ends when your content is deleted, except for anonymous combined figures and copies kept in backups for a short time.
- Post only what is true and what you saw yourself, and only content you are allowed to post.
- Do not post other people's personal data. Photos must not show people's faces or vehicle number plates.
- Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, misleading, or promotional.
- We may check, hide or remove content, including photos before they appear in public, at our discretion and without notice.
7. Acceptable use
Do not:
- submit false or repeated check-ins, reviews or reports, or use several accounts to inflate a charger or a leaderboard;
- copy our data in bulk, scrape the service, or use it to build a competing dataset;
- try to get around rate limits, security or moderation, or probe the service for weaknesses;
- send spam, malware or anything that harms the service or other users;
- pretend to be another person or company.
We limit how often check-ins and requests can be made, to keep the data honest. Reaching a limit is not a penalty.
8. Data sources
Some charger and map data comes from third parties and keeps its own licence. This includes OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL), Open Charge Map (CC BY 4.0), and Natural Resources Canada (Open Government Licence – Canada). We credit these sources on the pages that use them. Our name, logo, software and original content belong to us or our licensors.
9. Other people's services
Zevvy links to and relies on other services, such as map providers and charging networks' own apps. We do not control them and are not responsible for them. Their terms apply when you use them.
10. No warranty, and limits on our liability
Zevvy is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we do not promise that it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not liable for loss caused by relying on it, including a charger that is unavailable, a wrong or missing stop, a failed trip, or a delay. Our total liability to you for any claim about the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it, which for a free service is zero. Nothing in these terms limits a liability that the law does not allow us to limit.
11. Ending use
You may stop using Zevvy at any time. We may change, suspend or end any part of the service. Sections that by their nature should survive, such as sections 6, 8, 10 and 12, continue after you stop.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Chandigarh, India have jurisdiction over disputes, unless the law gives you the right to go to another court.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the date above, and for a material change we will tell you in the app or by email. Using Zevvy after a change means you accept it.
