“Super Easy and First-Time Friendly – Great EV Charging Experience in Americus, GA! This was my very first time charging an electric vehicle, and I couldn't have asked for a smoother experience. I rented an EV from Avis in Atlanta (honestly, it was the cheapest option in June 2025—go figure!) and drove it all the way to Americus. I’ll admit, I had a little range anxiety heading out on a 200+ mile trip, but this EV held up great—even with the AC running and my podcast playing full blast through Android Auto. The ChargePoint station in Americus is tucked right behind McDonald's, which made it super easy to find. The area is well-lit and felt very safe, even in the evening. Charging was simple and intuitive, and it only took about 16 minutes to top up. The current rate was $0.48 per kWh, which I found reasonable for the convenience. What really surprised me about driving an EV? The acceleration and passing ability—wow. Getting around slower traffic on the highway was effortless. It definitely changed how I view electric vehicles. “Successful charge. Before i went to the charging station the car had only 3 percent & i had to go to the charging station. This charging station is open 24 hours & is located inside the gas & go gas station. i used j1772 & I wanted the car to have 79 percent. before i got to the car the chargers were finally available & after i got to the charging station i opened the McDonald's app. i went to the restaurant that is near the charging station & it said the order was confirmed. Look. This is a large order. subtotal was $79.83 & tax was $11.23. total was $91.06. after i got to burgerking, subtotal was $78.78 & tax was $9.76. total was $88.54. and after i went to cfa, subtotal was $133.74 tax 1 was $38.41 & tax 2 was $19.62. total was $191.77.
