“There is a $3 fee to get into Sandy Point Park. There are six, J1772 at 7.2 kW chargers. This might be the nicest place we have charged. It’s Level 2 so not the fastest by any means but a beautiful place to charge. This is a good place to stop for a rest or take a nice walk if you are crossing the bridge. There are three Level 2 chargers for six cars by the marina. We had issues with the first charger but the second one worked well. I didn’t have the Switch App so I downloaded it. Funny but we did have a Switch RFID card but didn’t get that to work. I wish there was more information on the charger to help. They have a QR code to download the App which was helpful. It says if you don’t have internet access to call this number and the automated system will help start the charger. Never seen that before. We went for a 3 mile walk on the beach and around the park and came back to the car gaining 8.29kW in 1 hour 17 minutes for $0.17kW. Inexpensive, slow with beautiful scenery. This was a Tuesday in early April so the park was nearly empty. This park gets busy in the summer. I don’t know how much the chargers get used during busy days.” — Bill, a year ago
