“Georgia Power back to nonsense with pricing. Overnight, they changed pricing from $.28/kWh to $.35/kWh. A 25% overnight increase is pretty substantial. And it’s not as though this is high-speed charging — it tops out around 6kW. This is their product sold in the property of their shuttered customer service office. If they can’t offer competitive pricing here, who can? And it’s not as though they have nice amenities or anything. It’s very disappointing. At a minimum, they should offer peak and off-peak pricing. And the off-peak pricing should be dirt cheap as the cost to them overnight is virtually nil. For context, Tesla offers high-speed charging overnight for between $.25-.35/kWh. And they have to buy the power from GP and pay rent to the property owner. And yet still, they can offer more competitive rates than GP?
