“This is a good addition to Atlantic City. Sixteen J1772 slow chargers located at the Rocktane Gas station outside of Hardrock Casino. These are the new ChargePoint chargers without a display. They are branded “BMW” but I’m not sure why. It looks more like a ChargePoint home charger. The chargers are only Level 2, 8kW slow chargers which is a little strange. You would think they would have fast chargers or a mix of slow and fast. I guess most people will plug in and walk into HardRock or the boardwalk as their cars charge. The price is $0.40kW which is high for a slow charger. Without a display you need to go into the ChargePoint app and look for the price. If you are going to the beach for a few hours it’s cheaper to charge than to pay for Hardrock parking. At $3.20 an hour you could visit the beach for 3 hours and pay under $10 to park/charge and have your car a bit charged. If you are also visiting or staying at Hardrock and will need to pay for parking so this isn’t a good deal but at least you can charge your EV. Other casinos like Borgata will charge for free if you Valet your car. I drive 230 miles to get to Borgata. I valet and get charged for free (valet tip) and can go all the way home on their free charge. Self-Parking: Weekdays: Generally $10 to $15. Weekends: Often increases to $20. Event Days: Can spike significantly, with reports of $40 or $50 during high-demand concerts at the Etess Arena.” — Bill, a month ago
