What drivers have written
“Arrived around 8pm on 3/2/24. Arrived with 14% charge remaining. No wait when I arrived, but charging speed was throttled the entire charging session. Left after 30 min with 59% charge. One star knocked off for poor power deliver speeds. As a side note, a line quickly formed with 4 cars in queue. EA needs to step it up with more than 4 charging stations per location. Most of these parking lots have a ton of available for extra stations. People should not need to wait 30-60 minutes in line to charge.” — Steven Fenn, 2 years ago
“Pros: This Electrify America station has so much potential. It’s in a large parking lot with a Target and plenty of food choices, It’s set up on the perimeter of the parking lot (nice because it’s out of the way of the majority of the shopping centers traffic and for easy lining up to charge), And it’s near a freeway. The Reality: Unfortunately, after attempting to come here 30+ times over the past few months, I generally leave disappointed, and without a charge for my battery. Similar to most Electrify America stations, there are ALWAYS broken or down Chargers. There are total of 4 But I’ve never seen all 4 working ever. The most I’ve seen is 3 of the 4 working but that hasn’t happened in months. IT IS COMMON THAT ONLY 2 OR 1 OF THE 4 ARE WORKING. Beyond the 2 or 1 Chargers that are actually up and running, expect a long wait (30 mins - 60 mins). Like I mentioned, previously, due to the prime location, this station is frequented at all times of the day. I’ve been here at 5 AM and I’ve had to wait in line and I’ve also been here at 12 AM and I’ve had to wait in line. If you had to come here, I would suggest coming during a weekday before the lunch hour, but after the morning commute. Suggestions: I am by no means an owner or operator of charging stations, however, I do know enough to recognize this station is not operating effectively. E.A. Please hire more technicians to fix your constantly broken machines. Not just in Baldwin Park, but all your EA locations. Another suggestion would be to also add about 4 more chargers at that location. Finally, electric charging stations have become so congested, I think it is now the responsibility of these stations to have some sort of indicators or markers on where to efficiently and safely line up to charge. Leaving it up to these customers just ain’t working. It’s the Wild Wild West out there. Some of these people don’t have any common sense, park in passthroughs, park in the parking lot when there’s already a formed line and think that the next person who arrives to wait is going to magically know that they were actually before them in line, and overall just don’t pay attention. Please figure out your operation and help your customers operate in a clearly defined line. Lastly, if you’re getting a new Electric Car and your Sales Representative tells you that it includes a year or 2 of free charging by Electrify America, tell them to give you another company instead. I know Mercedes and VW offer this to their clients and I’m pretty sure BMW and a few other dealerships do this as well. While this seems like a nice addition in theory, It has made the already poorly operating EA Stations to become overcrowded with a guaranteed 30 minute wait almost every time. These dealerships need to partner with other companies so that they’re broken up and can disperse some of the customers.” — D G, 2 years ago
“This is the only EA charger I've used since getting my car. The DC car charging is fantastic. The two times I've been here, there was no wait. Was able to pull in and charge. 30 minutes and I'm done. It's also near Jack in the Box, Raising Canes, Target, etc if I wanted to grab a quick bite.” — Duc Nguyen, 3 years ago
