What drivers have written

“This is an awesome location for a charger. It was also really fast. You are within walking distance of restaurants, Antique Stores and really the whole strip for Bandera, the cowboy capital of the world. I saw some other reviews and was really disappointed with thier reasoning. It is NOT a Tesla Charging station and the fees were in line with othe Electrify America Chargers. Actually I thought it was cheaper than any charger except Tesla. This is in the middle of nowhere and unless you want to trickle charge, it is the best. I met the owner, his shop is next door, and he is doing some great stuff and keeping the lone watering hole for EV's up and running. Anyway, 5 stars and will 💯 plan my Texas hill country trips around this fast charger so I dont have to keep my Ford Lightning on the highway.” — Justin Clark, 7 months ago

“Very easy to find. We had stayed at the local Mayan Dude Ranch and had driven from Houston so we needed a charge after our holiday. The charger has two CCS connectors. If you have NACS, you will need an adaptor. The charger is a recent addition to the town of Bandera, according to the friendly shop owners we were chatting to when we visited Bandera whilst our car charged. There are two bays but no sunshade. There were no other cars waiting and both parking areas were free. No problem to connect and I had ordered a ChargeLab RFID card (free) a few weeks in advance so I used that. It is expensive, though. There is a $12 fee just to use the charger. For the next hour, the cost is $0.69/kWh. After an hour, the cost rises to $0.79/kWh. There is also an idling fee, which we did not incur. We did charge the car to 99% (from 10%), checking occasionally to see if anyone was waiting - there wasn't and the 2nd bay remained free throughout our charge of 100kWh. Duration was 1 hour and 17 minutes. The charger is rated for 180kW. Our highest rate was 137kW. Average of 78kW over the charge. Bandera is a lovely spot so we spent time in the shops on the Sunday morning.” — Michael Duddy, a year ago

“Although expensive, this location is great! Allowed us to charge on our way to camping at Lost Maples without having to back track into San Antonio. Location within town is great too and within walking distance to many restaurants. Charger worked great with no issue.” — Alex Williams, 6 months ago
