“This is two different stations, one before the garage gate (but physically inside the garage) and one after. The one before is 4x ChargePoint and the one after is 2x ChargePoint and 2x networked Clipper Creek, although only the ChargePoint portion of this shows up on the map listing, for some reason. The electricity cost is the same for both groups of chargers; the only difference is that the chargers outside the gate have an idling fee after charging is complete while the ones inside do not. (It does not otherwise cost to park at the spaces outside, though.) These chargers are a FANTASTIC value at 12¢/kWh; for comparison for anyone not from the area, the residential rate from the local electricity supplier at the time this review is being posted is about 31¢. They are a little slow compared to other AC chargers I have used — I have never seen them go higher than 5.9 kW — but considering the intended user is probably a monthly parker who lives or works downtown, this seems fine. If you visit Downtown Bangor with any regularity at all, you could potentially save a lot of money by going out of your way to do all of your charging here, even after accounting for the rate for parking itself if you choose to use the station inside the gate.” — Isaac Terrell, 3 months ago
