“The chargers we easy to find with (2) dispensers per unit. The units are rated for 350kwh on single use or 175kwh if shared. I had no issues starting a session as I am setup with EVgo’s autocharge+. It took about 20 – 25 seconds to work through all the startup negotiations once I plugged in. It was able to charge at my car’s standard curve without issue. The Pilot / Flying J store was clean and offered a decent selection of convenience store food plus some made to order items along with an Arby’s. There is seating inside so it can be a decent place to take a break while your car is charging. Restrooms were on the cleaner side for a gas station / convenience store. The charging stalls had trash cans and window cleaner / squeegees available. If they would add a canopy, then it would be perfect. There are also a couple of small grass fields adjacent to the property so if you need to walk your dog this would be a good location. Overall, a good location to charge up and while the rate is a bit high it is not out of line with some of the more expensive DC fast charging options (e.g. Electrify America).” — Lee Murray, 2 years ago

Oh, how did I find myself in the sun drenched lands of bustling Polk County Florida. Nestled in the Sunshine State's verdant lands was that lonely outpost of our great nation's logistical and transportation network, the place known to all as the Flying J truck stop. But know and be aware, wanderer, that this famous stop for weary travelers caters not only to gargantuan commercial transport trucks, there is also brisk trade geared to those with more humble forms of conveyance. A recent addition has been machines designed to recharge the storage batteries of electrified automobiles. O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! Now the rustic and rural lands between Bartow and the Lake of Wales can benefit from the most modern form of electrically powered transport! “The place is mad empty and the charger worked pretty quick, it was at first getting 200 kw for my ioniq, but that slowed to 150-152, it's also rather expensive compared to Electrify America, and I can get my max of KW with them, but it is easy to access, and worked so I'm fine with it P.S It started slowing down even more, may be worth it in a pinch but not a place to charge up to 80%” — Peyton O'Laughlin, 2 years ago
