“ChargePoint is a scam they put two $75 hold charges on my card plus charged me what I used they did credit me back 1 of the $75 holds then when I called and explained what happened and asked them to release the other $75 the lady on the phone told yes it was our mistake we will release it in 5-7 business days then it’s up to your bank I said no it needs to be released today she said sry that’s not how we do it. “Let’s see. I have a Nissan Leaf S and while they have two Chademo chargers one was not working and there was no sign or nothing to tell otherwise. So, I had to wait for an Amazon van to finish charging while a snow storm was happening. And, he took his sweet time by the way 😟. Yup, had to wait like an hour or so for this guy to finish 🤨. However, with just making it to this range with 2% battery life left from Rochester, it was good to see this gas station has active patrols from State Troopers. And, it stays fairly populated and it’s 24/7. Also, it has a bathroom at the gas station and Tim Horton’s is on one side of the gas station store. You can sit down, order and even plug-in your phone to charge while you wait at a table. If Both charging stations were working, or even if there was an uptime I would have given 5 stars. Overall, it takes at least 1 hour and say a half to get to 94% with Chademo. I will try it with a ccs1 adapter or my other EV that’s ccs1 in the future to see if it’s faster because normally ccs1 is like 40 minutes for me with my other EV an i3. Update: 12/30/25 Folks, this charging station also takes deposits when you charge. I noticed anywhere from $50-$75 being taken from ChargePoint and not so readily returned. This has been happening for close to two months now. And, one guy charging showed me how for charging his Tesla it took numerous $75.00 deposits as he attempted to charge his dead vehicle. Overall, great station and location but they should get rid of ChargePoint and get Evolve NY, Electrify America or AppleGreen.
