“After several horrible charging experiences on I94 in Michigan, this stop definitely sets the bar. No, the amenities are not great, but it is a very clean Dunkin and more upscale than the typical shop. The charging experience however was flawless. No app, just tap to pay, and plug in charge. High speed charging for most ev's. It's a bit pricey, but I was desperately trying to find a fast charge before I got stranded and this was a lifesaver. All chargers should be this easy. “Extremely disappointed with my first experience using the Rivian charging network. I drive a Rivian R1S, but I usually use Tesla Superchargers because they have been far more reliable and faster. On the way back from a very long trip, I decided to finally give the Rivian charger a shot. Unfortunately, it failed pretty badly. Three out of the six chargers were not working because they were not connecting to the network. Because of that, people were scrambling, waiting, and being forced to charge right next to each other, which also resulted in slower charging speeds. The most frustrating part is that this does not seem like a complicated physical issue with the chargers. It appears to be a basic network connection problem, but that simple issue leaves drivers unable to charge their vehicles when they actually need it. For a company that sells adventure vehicles and promotes its own charging network, this experience was very disappointing.
