“I don't know why the location is set to the next block over, but this charger is attached to the Best Western Big Lake Inn hotel, not the mostly-empty lot across the street from it. There is definitely a charger here (two outlets), but I suggest calling ahead and verifying that it is still up and running. Since it is only a 'Destination Charger', it is only a 240-Volt circuit, so plan on charging overnight. You are expected to be a hotel guest to use the chargers. Could you get away with it if you're not a guest? Maybe? The chargers are on the east side of the building in the back corner by the pool. I doubt anyone watches or cares, but don't take my word for it. As of April 2024, they had the chargers on a single 60 Amp circuit. This means that if there are two vehicles plugged in at the same time trying to pull more than 30 Amps each, the circuit-breaker is thrown and the chargers shut down. For this reason it is very important that when you charge, BOTH vehicles must turn down their Amp draw to less than thirty. 24 to be safe. You might be the only person charging when you start, but someone else could come along later and try to charge their vehicle too. Sadly, if the hotel management does not take my recommendation to warn all guests to turn down their Amperage limit (and I seriously doubt they will) that second guest will throw the circuit breaker and not even know it. :(” — Kurt Larson, 2 years ago
