“Beautiful place, but issue with staff. Just left and I went to check out the farm house and it says no pets which is completely understandable because it is a historical monument, but my issue is I brought my fully trained task trained cardiac alert service dog. I went to enter the farm house and was immediately confronted by a lady who had on the information and was meant with immediate hospitality. She told me no dogs allowed inside and I proceeded to tell her he is a tasked trained Service Dog. She was very rude and was uneducated. I am very disappointed that staff are allowed to treat customers and visitors such a way. Under the ADA a Federal LAW service dogs are definitely as tasked trained dogs or in some cases miniature horses that are trained to assist their handler with a disability. These animals have Federal right to accompany their handlers in any public area where pets may not be allowed. These dogs go through years of training to be able to go into places pets are not allowed to go to assist their handlers. There staff needs to be more educated and thought how to PROPERLY approach people with pets OR Service Dogs. Very disappointed.” — Alex Irving, 11 months ago
