What drivers have written

“Great to have these 3 DC fast chargers in Borrego Springs! Enables EV travel in this entire area. All three CCS chargers are working. Used a CCS-> NACS adapter to charge our Tesla - we were pulling a Aliner camping trailer (parked in the campground). Nice location at the chamber of commerce building. Paid using credit card - worked on second try. The middle one would be "trailer friendly" if you didn't want to unhitch your camper trailer.” — Vijnan Shastri, 8 months ago

“This charging station was a mystery to know how to use and it took 3 separate visits before we figured it out. And the first station doesn't work at all. Just download the app, And make sure that the ID in the app for the charging station matches the actual station you're at. Otherwise it is a super fast charge! It's a real gem to have this fastcharger in such a remote area! And it's the best and most convenient one we have found in town.” — Michael Hammer, 6 months ago

“Successful problem-free charge on Jan 27, 2026 afternoon - Tesla M3 with CCS1-to-NACS (Tesla plug) adapter. Easy to find. Worked OK with EvGateway app that I had installed prior to arriving, including using ApplePay for payment. Did not try the CC reader. Cost was a reasonable $0.52/kWh, unlike the price gouging some other CCS1 providers seem to engage in. Some comments: - Weirdly, the chargers are on high concrete pedestals. That may make reaching the cables and controls a little awkward for shorter folks. - It only reached ~55 kW max charge rate, despite battery being near-empty on arrival. That's less than half the advertised 120 kW rate. - The slower rate was actually perfect timing for grabbing an excellent lunch at the nearby Red Ocotillo restaurant :) - Removing the CCS1 plug and adapter required unlocking the charge port in the Tesla app (under "Charging"), or on the car's screen. That step isn't typically required for other chargers.” — Jeff Bateman (Slimsy), 7 months ago
