“I was born in Bozeman and now live on the North side within walking distance of the Cannery District. I am delighted to see what was for years a neglected and underutilized area being transformed in a thriving and unique community hub. Both the restoration of existing buildings and the creation of new ones has been done thoughtfully and hits a perfect balance between honoring the old bones of the place and presenting a clean modern aesthetic. The landscaping is actually one of my favorite things about the Cannery District - it is unusual in that it uses a lot of native and drought tolerant plants that provide something interesting to look at every month of the year - far more beneficial to wildlife and aesthetically pleasing than the usual boring river rock and homogenous row of bushes that you see everywhere.
