“*UPDATE* as of January 4th, 2026: The chargers are still terrible. There has been no improvement whatsoever. The station is always full, and you have to wait at least 30-40 minutes to get a charging spot. The Ocean Fiskers and BZ4X take forever to charge, and the chargers are extremely slow. Currently, they are providing 22 kW, which means it takes 1 hour and 35 minutes to charge. At this point, Revel should shut down this place; it’s not only expensive but also wastes your hours. *UPDATE* as of November 21st, 2025. It got worse. 10/14 chargers work, but they are really slow. You will be getting a maximum of 30 kWh. The other 4 chargers don’t work at all. Revel is getting worse day by day. *Update* 08/27/2024, Six months ago, I gave the Ravel Charging Station a 4-star rating, but I've had to lower it since then. It used to be a fantastic spot—easy to access, close to the city, and conveniently located near the Williamsburg Bridge. There are plenty of 150 kW chargers, but when two cars share a charger, the power splits to 75 kW each, which can make charging take longer. The one-hour free parking is a nice benefit, but the charging rate has jumped to $0.54 per kWh, which is quite high compared to other options in NYC. Discounts are available, but only for Uber drivers. Because of these high rates, I've stopped using this station; it ends up costing more than gas, plus you spend extra time charging and getting back home. With a gas car, you save time and don't have to worry about running out of power. Even though the city is pushing for more electric vehicles, there doesn't seem to be much effort to improve the charging infrastructure or address the high rates. The government should focus on adding more fast and free charging stations. Otherwise, I wouldn't recommend getting an electric car unless you have a home charger. “It is very easy to access and exit the facility. Right across the street from the post office. This is one of the few publically accessible css fast chargers in brooklyn and a find if you need a quick charge. The charging rates are reasonable and free parking for the first 90 minutes. The place is clean with vending machines. Score of 4 only because I have had trouble connecting to 2 of 4 chargers I tried.” — les abeyta, a year ago

“First time using Revel charger. Space is not well maintained and cramped. Too many cars trying to move around each other in a tight space. Even exiting was a nightmare - there’s only one ramp for entry and exit but only one car at a time. Had to wait for several cars to enter before I could leave. Charged at the station at the very end which had a huge puddle of water right by the driver side door.
