What drivers have written
“I am writing this review from the Electrify America station in Cedar City, Utah. All of the 350 kW chargers appeared operational, but multiple chargers were delivering only a fraction of their advertised charging speeds. I initially contacted Electrify America support and was told there were no issues with the chargers and that the problem was my vehicle. However, while I was on-site, other EV drivers were experiencing similarly slow charging speeds on the same chargers. After further discussion, the Electrify America representative eventually acknowledged that the chargers were not operating as expected. This highlights three recurring problems with Electrify America’s network: 1. Customer support frequently defaults to blaming the vehicle rather than investigating charger performance. This is not the first time I have been told that a charging issue was caused by my vehicle, only to later learn there was a problem with the charger. Electrify America needs to train its support representatives to accurately diagnose issues before dismissing customer concerns. 2. If a charger is experiencing a fault that significantly reduces charging speed, customers should be clearly notified. A charger that technically works but delivers a fraction of its expected performance is still not functioning properly. Drivers depend on accurate charging information to plan trips, schedules, and charging stops. 3. Customers should not be charged for severely degraded charging sessions. My charging plan covers the first 30 minutes, but because the charger was operating far below expected speeds, it took more than 60 minutes to reach an 85% charge. When Electrify America’s equipment is responsible for substantial delays, customers should receive credits or refunds for the additional time and cost. The most frustrating part is not the slow charging itself. Equipment issues happen. The frustrating part is being told the problem is my vehicle when the charger network is clearly underperforming. Transparency and accountability would go a long way toward improving the customer experience.” — T S (worldwide), 2 months ago
“On my way back from California. I use the electrify America app to see what stations are available and work. Upon arriving most of the charging stations I’ve been to (scipio, st George, beaver) haven’t been great. Only giving this 2 stars because it charged the first time. I’ve called customer service at least a 6 times within 9 days. There’s 4 stations at this location and only one works here which is really inconvenient for other cars. I hope they can maintain the charging stations better. Nearly all stations claim they’re fast chargers but most don’t go past 60-90 kw which leaves you stuck here charging for about 30-40 min” — Tara A, 3 years ago
“Updated Review Spring Break 2024. Smooth experience, all three 350’s are working. Immediately recognized my ElectrifyAmerica App and began charging. Rating updated. Labor Day Weekend 2023 Fail!!! All SIX of the 350KW chargers are down/unavailable. Charging on the 150KW and only getting 58KW (starting at 10%).” — Stuart Turner, 2 years ago
