“I’ve used this Electrify America charging station at the Phoenix Premium Outlets in Chandler a number of times, and my experience here has been reliable and straightforward. The location is easy to access from the outlet mall parking lot, and it’s clearly signed so you won’t have any trouble finding it when you need a charge. The chargers are all DC fast-charging units, giving you the speed you expect for a quick stop while shopping, running errands, or breaking up a longer drive. Unlike some other Electrify America stations where I’ve run into issues like broken equipment, payment or session hang-ups, or chargers staying locked to my account after use, this Chandler location has been smooth every time I’ve used it. I haven’t encountered malfunctioning units or weird interface glitches, and sessions start and stop cleanly without leaving my account open for someone else to use. That reliability makes this one of the better EA stations I’ve visited. It can get a moderate amount of traffic since it’s in a popular shopping area, but even when there are other EVs charging, the turnaround hasn’t been a problem in my experience. “Electrify America DC fast charging located at the Phoenix Premium Outlets. Stalls are located in the southeast area of the parking lot. Four stalls capable of delivering 150kW. Four CCS and one CHAdeMO plugs. There are no Tesla plugs. You will need to use a CCS to Tesla adapter. Check to make sure your car is also CCS enabled. Changers can be started via the Electrify America smartphone app or by using a card at the stall. Prices may be cheaper with a monthly subscription on the app. There is plenty of parking and shopping to do in the area.” — Ross Syster, 3 years ago
