“Getting account setup with payment method requires email activation first which required a call to support to figure out, as it kept failing to add card. Figuring out what to press in the app to get charging started was non intuitive (you have to click the charge adapter to start with no interface prompt). Charging session continued to fault in first five minutes and required a restart of the session, multiple times as it would drop from 33kw to 14kw on 2020 Model 3 (ultimately could not get it to not fault in the car even after contacting support to reboot the whole unit, so charge speeds drop to 14kw and stabilize). The connectivity between the app and charger was buggy to get it first started. Overall mediocre experience, but happy to see more chargers in the area and 14kw is better than nothing. Support was quick to answer on both calls which was nice. Their website is not clear if there is a dedicated Tesla charger or not (I thought it might require the CHAdeMO adapter, but there is a dedicated Tesla plug!). “First time setting up stuff in the app took more than 5m to check payment option and all. But that’s a once in a long while thing so no biggie. Location is excellent and easy access. Station screen and app is easy to use though it is on the other side from either parking spot. Equipment in good shape. Customer support was very nice and very helpful. Overall easy. I’m not much for setting up accounts with every station but using the app to check charge progress was very helpful. Easy peasy!” — Edward Olson, 2 years ago

“First and last time charging with Evgo. I tried charging a Tesla 3 at this location. First issue was that it wouldn’t charge. I kept getting a notice that there was no power at the charge station. While trying to troubleshoot, another car pulls in, and starts charging seamlessly. I come to find out later that I am paying for this other car to charge, but still cannot charge my own. Thankfully, customer service was able to refund the amount. It’s also wild that there is no distinction on which vehicle you are paying for on their app. After going through multiple trouble shooting processes with customer service they come to the conclusion that this station is “probably” out of order because apparently they have no indication when their stations need service. Great way to completely waste an hour in 110 degree weather. Take my advice and avoid this incompetent charging brand.
