What drivers have written
“Very useful on the way between Yellowstone National Park and Mount Rushmore as there isn't a supercharger in Cody; although it had previously won a spot on Tesla's "suggest a supercharger location" survey, Tesla hasn't started construction as of the time of this writing in July 2026. It seems like not many know of this charger here so it was very easy to get to and find and charge at, no one else around. A physical credit card is needed to insert as tap to pay doesn't seem to be working. It charges at 48 amps at 208 volts meaning you get ~9 kilowatts per hour so for a Tesla Model Y with 79 kilowatt hours of capacity, it's ~12% of charge per hour so for a half charge of 48% it'd take 4 hours and a full charge, 8 hours. But it's good to top up here on the way then go to the supercharger in Buffalo, Wyoming or also at Sheridan, Wyoming if you need to go a bit more north. This charger here in Cody is the highest amperage one at 48 A, the others are slower. It costs 10 cents per minute so 6 dollars per hour (rather than by kWh as Tesla superchargers and others do) so the price is a bit high but better than nothing. While you top up, check out the Buffalo Bill museum which is really 5 museums in 1, and it has very interesting exhibits like the gun museum or the history of Buffalo Bill. Restaurants are also close by.” — S, a month ago
“Can’t complain about this charger, gets the job done. Added about 40 mi/hr to my 2026 model 3. Easy to use, tap to pay wasn’t working but was able to insert my card and get it running. About a 10 min walk from any of the food or coffee options.” — abdullah alkarboly, 3 months ago
“Decent charger. It took about 3 hrs to charge to 80% from 40%. For a Tesla we definitely needed our adapter that came with the car. We were able to walk to food and restrooms. Everything we needed was within a 1 mile radius . Cost was around 5$ per hour. .08 ¢ per minute. Just had to swipe a card, no membership sign up.” — Kimmi Lucke-Widner, a year ago
