“This was my first of six SC stops on a 1000 mi outbound trip. This SC is located in a Holiday Inn parking lot, which is about 3 minutes off the exit. There is a travel center at the exit with clean bathrooms and a food court that incudes Taco Bell, and a McDonald’s across the street. There are 8 stalls offering 250kw L3 DCFC charging, though the charge speed will vary based on your SOC and whether or not you have a charging neighbor. I added 73% (182mi.) in 35 minutes on this stop as instructed by the trip planner. The charge speed tapers off as your battery fills up. The parking lot is clean, well lit and has a garbage can as well a recycling can. Two of the 8 stalls don’t require reversing in, making it possible to charge for folks that are towing. I stopped here twice during my 2000 mi. round trip. On the outbound, during the day, several stalls were available. I saw two stalls occupied by Tesla’s that were not charging but were instead using this as general parking. This is a common sight but fortunately did not affect me on this entire trip. During my second stop late at night, all stalls were available. The SC served its purpose of charging the battery. Knocking off a star because not having any food options in walking distance was a letdown. At least I got to stretch and walk around a bit before hitting the road again. Tesla needs to figure out how to put these on the exit with nearby food and shopping options to keep you distracted so you aren’t just sitting around waiting and staring at the clock while charging.” — Aamir Atl, 3 years ago
