“I recently had yet another frustrating experience at the Electrify America charging station located at 5800 S University Drive in Davie, FL. This station is the epitome of inefficiency and poor management. With only three DC fast chargers that barely reach 150 kW and one slow AC charger, it’s a constant struggle to get a decent charge. This is my third visit to this particular location, and the issues are persistent and unacceptable. The 150 kW charging station is still out of order, which is also the only one equipped with a Chademo plug, making it useless for those of us who rely on this specific connector. To add insult to injury, the other two 150 kW chargers on site are derated and often only deliver a measly 50 kW of power. During my most recent visit, I waited for nearly 30 minutes while two cars occupied the stations forever, charging at an excruciatingly slow pace. Despite my patience, I finally had to leave without getting the charge I needed. This recurring issue highlights the station’s inability to meet the needs of the growing number of electric vehicle users in the area. Electrify America should be utterly ashamed of this station’s condition. It’s clear that they are failing to maintain their infrastructure and meet the basic expectations of their customers. The lack of functional high-power chargers and the constant derating of existing ones render this station nearly useless. I urge Electrify America to take immediate action and fix this station. It’s time to stop ignoring the obvious problems and provide the reliable and efficient charging solutions that EV owners deserve. Until then, this station remains a joke and a major disappointment.
