“I recently visited the Mercedes-Benz ChargePoint charging station at Buckys in Daytona Beach, Florida, and was thoroughly impressed. Although I didn’t need to charge, I decided to stop by for the novelty of it and to review this charger. The 400 kW charging station is beautifully appointed with five stalls, each having two load-balanced connectors. While two of the five stalls appeared to be out of service, the one I used was working perfectly. The setup is user-friendly and efficient, with swiping your proximity card or tapping your phone easily activating the station. I was pleasantly surprised to find air available for tires, squeegees, and garbage cans conveniently located right by the chargers. It’s clear that a lot of thought has been put into making the charging experience as seamless as possible. Overall, this charging station met all my expectations and more. Great job to the team responsible for maintaining such a high standard. I will definitely be stopping by again when I’m in the area.” — John M (The Closer), 2 years ago

“I occasionally stop here to charge. I have charged here with no problems. The amount of time spent inside of Buc -ee's I usually have 5-10 minutes left until my charge point. I do wish the walk from the chargers to the store was a little safer. Also have come across two times where a large RV or trailer is blocking a bunch of chargers. “Located at Buc-ee’s just off 95 in Daytona. Like most Buc-ee’s it’s a large busy parking lot that is busy with cars going every direction. I wish there was an easier flow to the store, to the gas pumps and to the charging areas. The Mercedes chargers are on the opposite side of the gas pumps from the Tesla chargers which is nice. Mercedes chargers are some of the best we have used. This one wasn’t busy and worked well. While it’s branded as Mercedes-Benz Charging Station it’s a ChargePoint charger so you use the CharePoint app. The chargers are 400kW shared power between two EVs. It’s only our second time using Mercedes at Buc-ee’s. It’s a short walk but crossing lots of parking lot traffic to get to the store. The store has anything you need and the bathrooms are the nicest I’ve ever used at a charging station.” — Bill, a year ago
