What drivers have written
“This is a great place to park in Delray with or without an EV. We have been parking here for years and just got our first EV. The charging is free and located on the second floor. Parking is $5.00 but free until 4:00PM and all day on Sundays. The chargers are only 6.5kW but it’s free so you can’t do much better than that. This is a FPL Evolution site with Chargepoint+ chargers. My only issue is that cars plug in and don’t charge or charge and don’t move their cars after charging stops. There are only 6 spaces with chargers. Each time we park here I check the chargers and often find one or two cars plugged in and not charging. Likely they finished charging but haven't moved their car. Is it still called ICEing when it’s an EV blocking the EV charging spot? I wish they would put an idle fee after 20 minutes. The idle fee would help fix this issue. I don’t understand how EV owners could do this. Since it’s a slow charger it’s easy to know when your car will finish charging. I talked to the parking attendant and she said she only tickets non-evs in charging spots, she does not ticket EVs plugged in and not charging. How about if she put a friendly note on any car not charging? It’s nice that they put the chargers in at the best parking spots in the garage but it would be less abused if the chargers were at the least desirable place in the garage, not that there are any bad spots, just farther away from the elevator. More chargers would also fix the issue and are already needed. Everyday there are more EV and the need for more chargers. I hope there is a plan to add more here. A great feature of this parking garage is that there are lights on the ceiling that show if parking spots are full (red) or empty (green) or handicap (blue). The kiosk screen where you pay allows you to put in your license plate number and it will tell you where you parked and show you a picture of your car.” — Bill, a year ago
“Tried to activate from the app, but wouldn’t release the plug. I used my ChargePoint card and it released the plug. Great parking location and the charging is free!” — Manfred Richter, 5 years ago
“2nd floor in garage. Not parking lot.” — Jim Mc Call, 4 years ago
