“After learning that the Tesla supercharger to the east does not actually take non-Tesla vehicles. Was in a bind and could not get the next station up at Des Moines to work. After about 20 minutes on the phone call with the provided number for Francis Energy. I found out I had to have the app first. Barely had a signal as it’s in the middle of nowhere. Eventually got the app installed and got my car juiced up. It wasn’t the fastest in the world, but I was able to go to the nice café next-door and have a hamburger.m If you’re wanting to be economical, it seems Francis Energy is not your place to be. It’s very very expensive. I would have to look back, but I think it was about $.70 per kilowatt . I’m afraid the oil companies are getting in with their greedy fingers and taking over the Electric world. The only way an EV will work economically is if you are charging at home at home rates. “Very happy this charger is here otherwise the trip to amarillo from Trinidad would of been stressful as my EV is not open to Tesla v3 stations yet.
