“Prologue: I don't have an EV. -: The convenience store was locked, however, the cashier was still open for business, to exchange money for goods, you simply interact with the cashier through a speaker system and exchange money for products through a steel drawer. The low trust coupled with the inconvenience of not being able to make eye contact with the products is super frustrating and creepy. “I am editing my previous review. On my first visit it was charging super slow. Only my second visit, it charged super fast. I noticed on the second visit that the charger has its own battery indicator. I am assuming during my first visit, the battery of the charger was low. It works great when the battery is charged. “Charging station design is interesting to look at; large screen is enticing. Offer of free charging is tempting. Unfortunately it doesn't work well. Charging handle holsters are loose and missing bolts. Vehicle only charged for 5min then quit. App was slow to recognize that I was near the station. Had to close and reopen to convince it. I revisited two days in a row. Second visit was after visiting the BC Hydro charger. I observed that the On-the-run charger was trying to push 19kW into the battery but the BC Hydro unit told me the car was only requesting 8kW. I presume this is why the On-the-run unit quits early after 50%, the charger doesn't respect the cars limitation and then the car gags on too many electrons.
