“This was a frustrating stop and not what I expect from a Tesla Supercharger. When we arrived, there were four open stalls, yet charging was severely derated and only delivering about 56 kW. At that point, it made little sense to stay, especially given the state of charge we arrived with. We ended up moving to the nearby EVgo station, which was also clearly derated but at least provided around 75 kW—noticeably faster than the Supercharger. That alone says a lot. This is the first time I’ve personally experienced derated charging at a Tesla Supercharger, and it was disappointing, especially with multiple open stalls available. “I had no issues with the chargers. However, the patrol security officer seemed to be having a bad day. She insisted that I move off the property because my car wasn’t plugged in. It was around 1 am, and there were only a few cars there, and plenty of chargers available. After my car had finished charging, I unplugged it and went back inside, reviewing my routes. I felt targeted because she had passed me before, while my car was plugged in, and stopped. She circled back and approached me not even 5 minutes after unplugging. She also knocked on my car too, There was no reason for her to knock on my car as if I was asleep.
