“Driving home to LA from Laughlin. Our navigation was telling us we were going to be -11 battery arriving in Yermo. We didn’t want to chance that and found this gem charger through google search. It is a single charger at the beginning of a 4x4 trail. It’s a mini veteran memorial. Interesting to walk through and move your legs while charging. The charger was 32A. Super clutch. “This is a slow Tesla charger that is inside a historic museum laid out on a large open space. It is run by donations and volunteers. There are numerous curiosities from ancient history which are the unique part of Americana. It is also placed in the National Register of Historic Places of US. “We got saved, too, by the lovely people (Laura and Bill) at the heritage park. We made it to the charging station at Fenner with 17 miles left. We soon were devastated to find out that the adapter we had was not compatible with electrify America. The servo didn’t sell any adapters. Our only choice was to get a tow truck for $600. With luck, we saw this charger on Google within our limited range so we made our way there and it was a total success. We can’t be more grateful for their generosity for letting us using the charger after the opening hours to get enough juice to get to Needle. It was a long charge to 35 miles but time went extremely fast while we explored the park, used the amenities and even got offered nibbles and drinks. Thank you again, Laura and Bill!
