“Excellent location. This is a big help to EV drivers in the city. There are 8 stations (350 kw shared between two stations at a time—175 kw per vehicle if two vehicles are charging next to each other). There is no need to pay for parking as long as you are charging. Plug-in first, then use a tap-to-pay method or the Electrify America app). “ahhhh Thank you for opening one here in the heart of downtown Flushing! As long as there’s no other cars parked here it’s so convenient. Sometimes the meter maids can tell the cars to move if they’re not ev since they’re taking on the space for cars to charge. “It’s great that fast chargers were installed at this location, but the reality is very frustrating. At all hours of the day, these charging spots are being used as regular parking by vehicles that are not charging including electric vehicles that are simply parked there without being connected. This happens constantly, not occasionally, and it makes it very difficult for those of us who actually need to charge our cars. It completely defeats the purpose of having designated charging stations. There needs to be some type of regulation or enforcement to prevent this. Otherwise, these chargers are practically useless for the people who depend on them.
