“This charger says it’s free and the employee at the shop said it was free, but it’s not. They charged us a ridiculous “idle” fee over night and we ended up paying $30 in idle fees. “Out of order! The resort and Chargepoint are aware of this and yet it still states “available, open 24 hours”. We were stranded in Fort Klamath for 19 hours as a result of this Chargepoint being out of action and had to pay $350 for a tow truck to take our rental car to the closest ev charger. It is so important in remote areas where chargers are not readily available to ensure that the status is correct for these Chargepoints.
