“I came to charge on my way from Grand Island, NE to the Denver International Airport. My first stop was at the Electrify America in Ogallala, NE, that's located near the Walmart Supercenter off I-80, just like this one in Walmart of Fort Morgan off I-76. I struggled to charge my 2026 GMC Sierra EV with 170kW/h battery at a stable and steady rate. I had to change cords and stations 4 different times instead of 9 like in Ogallala, which was a little better experience and less time stuck overall (45 mins instead of 2.5 hours). My truck is capable of 300kW on paper, but I've charged all the way to 330-350kW before, this charger was only doing 180kW when my truck was requesting 275kW using the Electrify America 350kW rated station. Ridiculous how unreliable these two locations have been. I 100% recommend you go with a Flying J/Pilot GM Energy station such as the ones in North Platte, NE and Hudson, CO. Complete waste of time coming to this location, also, the Tesla V4 charging station in Sterling seems to be extremely reliable although it's considerably slower on paper (150-180kW for non-Tesla drivers on an 800v battery). 2 connectors physically broken but nothing that prevented it from charging, I believe the failure to hold a steady charge to be unrelated to the missing bits of plastic near the tip of the circular CCS connector on the cord, the computer can't possibly know.” — Jorge Chavez, 3 months ago
