“Only charged at 5 kw/hr for the first 30 minutes then jumped to 60. Charges a parking fee, charge fee, and service fee. Ended up around $1 per kWh which is rediculous for how slow the charger is. “The city of Gallipolis, Ohio should honestly be ashamed of themselves for setting the price of this EV charger to so exorbitantly higher than anywhere else in the United States that it constitutes the equivalent to gas scalping. It's illegal when it's done to gas, but if you do it to an EV driver, nobody seems to care. I've been on a road trip from Florida to Ohio And I have found that out of about 100 EV chargers that I have looked up on the road this charger is almost three times the national average. And the station proudly displays that the the city dictates the time fee, the $10 flat rate session fee, and the maximum energy rate allowable came out to nearly $50 for a half a tank of EV fuel. When I can get that for $19 anywhere else in any other state. I will 100% avoid this town and I will actively discourage others from coming here for anything. I work in the transportation industry and I usually encourage interstate travel to a lot of my customers, but I can promise you that I will never encourage anyone to come here. If you want to have a terrible time in the state of Ohio, come to Gallipolis, Ohio. The biggest money pit in Ohio so far.” — Michael Sharpe, a year ago
“Like others have said, this charging station is grossly overpriced. We had to stop because of the locations of other chargers on our trip and our car's range but I will try to take other routes in the future so we don't have to go here again if possible. There's was a $10 flat rate, plus $0.40/ kWh plus $0.25/ minute which added up to $30.14 for 25.54 kWh. In comparison, we went to a charge point charger in Chillicothe and charged 64.22kWh for $22.08. Like I said, I would not recommend this station and hope that we can avoid returning to it if possible.” — Danielle, a year ago
