“I’ve used the EVgo charging station in the WinCo parking lot in Mesa three different times, and each experience has been smooth and reliable. The location is convenient and easy to access right off the main parking area, with plenty of room to pull in and plug in without feeling cramped. Being at WinCo is a big plus. It makes it easy to knock out grocery shopping while the car charges, which is exactly how public fast charging should work. Most importantly, all three sessions started without issue, charged at expected speeds, and ended cleanly in the app. No glitches, no payment problems, no communication errors with the vehicle. After dealing with inconsistent performance at some other networks, that kind of reliability really stands out. “⭐⭐ I drive a 2011 Nissan Leaf and used the Chadamo charge port. My experience with the Evgo charging station near the Costco in Gilbert, Arizona was a mixed bag. Initially, I was relieved to find a quick charging option to get me home. However, things took a turn when I returned to find the machine refusing to disconnect. My attempt to resolve the issue by calling the provided 1-800 number left me on hold for a frustrating 10 minutes, which was far from ideal. Adding to the chaos was a nearby commotion that I couldn't quite decipher – either gunshots or windows shattering. Feeling uneasy, I decided to hang up and call back. The second attempt yielded quicker results, with a representative answering within a minute. Fortunately, they were able to remotely disconnect and stop the charger in just 2 minutes. Overall, the experience was exasperating. If the situation had been resolved promptly, I would have avoided the whole disastrous and unsafe scene across the lot.
