What drivers have written
“It charges a $4 per session fee and then 0.38/kWh, plus hourly fees after charging stopped. I have a Tesla and this is way toooo expensive than Tesla super charging rate.” — Yong Ao, 8 months ago
“Worked flawlessly for our stay at the hotel. This is not a supercharger and make sure to have app installed in advance for a smooth connection.” — Kantian Rants, a year ago
“These chargers are super expensive at $0.38/kwh. (At midnight). I decided not to use them as it cost more per mile than gas(see what I mean below). If they were $0.24-0.26/kWh, it would have been a no brainer even though that is almost 2.8x what I pay at home but would make it worth my while as it would have made it more reasonable than gas. I have a Volvo plug in hybrid with a max 3.6kw/h charge controller built-in, so it’s slow. Battery is 18kwh usable battery, providing me 36mile range in pure electric. At $0.38/kWh, that works out to be $6.84!!! Gas is $2.60/gallon regular or $3.40/gallon for super. If my ICE gets 29mpg on highway or 25mpg combined city/hwy, I am better off running 100% gas as I get between 50-58 miles on premium gas for the same price as what it costs to only get 36miles for electric only. Now I know if use it in hybrid mode you can actually get a much better return as the electric is used on acceleration and uphill situations where gas loses the most efficiency. However, I am just doing simple. apples to apples cost analysis. At home it costs me $0.09/kwh, so it makes it extremely cost effective to just charge at home or find free charger. As mentioned above, I think $0.24/kwh is a fair price where they are making money and you are not breaking the bank and costing more to run an ev than gas. I would plug in for that. If you have a pure EV and this is your only option, I suggest only topping off what you need to get to a more reasonably priced charger. Sadly I think many people think the same as me but haven’t given feedback as the last time 1 set of chargers were used was 9days ago. The other set 2 days ago but I guarantee it was probably a mistake once they realized how much it was costing them.” — Tbob TX, a year ago
