“I've charged at the BP Pulse LAX station several times and had a great experience each time. Although this site has been open for several months, I think a lot of people in the area aren't aware of this site yet. There are a total of 48 chargers, including 10 (?) 400 kW and the remainder 150 kW, with NACS and CCS connectors available. The off-peak rates are currently available from 10 pm to 2 pm, and are currently the lowest non-subscription rates in the area. There is a small lounge with vending machines and a separate bathroom, however the current hours of operation are 7:30 am to 4:30 pm. You can pay using tap to pay or download the BP Pulse app; press the top left side button to see your current rate of charge and other details. There is on-site wi-fi. Be aware that the charging cables are very thick and heavy (anti-theft strategy?), and a little hard to maneuver to connect to your charge port. I usually charge at Tesla stations but their rates have been climbing slightly recently, and I'm happy that there is another option. I was initially concerned about safety in this area, however there is someone on-site 24/7 and the lot is well-lit. The area around the station has been dramatically rebuilt, and the LAX Consolidated Rental Center and the new LAX Transit Center are located across the street. There should be more traffic once the Rental Center opens in fall 2025 and the Automated People Mover starts operation in 2026. If you're into plane watching, this station is a great site for that. I charged at the BP Pulse station recently at 4 am to check out the area at night, and there were very few people walking around the area; LA Metro has security personnel stationed in front of the Transit Center, and there was a BP Pulse staff on-site in his car.
