“As of Apr 2, 2024, there are 4 Chargepoint towers, with 2 connections each. While this theoretically services 8 vehicles, the combo of insufficient snow clearing and poor parking by customers means there are effectively fewer (rammed my Tesla into a snow bank to grab the "last" available early Tue morning for some mediocre Spring riding conditions). Upon initiating charging, you receive a notification stating $1/h, $50/h idling. Hard to tell whether the idling rate a bluff targeting people using charges for "all day parking," given filling up on the pitiful 3.3kWh charge rate you receive when sharing a tower would be tough (~5m/h on a Model Y). Price gouge-y at that rate, but charging all ski day long could get you to a supercharger at Meyers.” — Daniel Rall, 2 years ago
“We stayed in kirkwood for a week and hoped to get access to charging once the area was cleared of snow. They cleared the parking lot and chargers this morning but intentionally left a large snowbank to block access to the chargers. “There's no system or incentive to get cars to move along after they have enough charge. They'll probably be full the entire time (and that's if they're working).
