“Had no issues charging. Easy process to charge: plug the connector, tap to pay and you’re done. Attendants were very helpful moving cars so I can charge. It was easier to enter through 42nd road and the chargers are right at the entrance. Contrary to what I have read, you can stop the charge at anytime by pressing one of the two buttons at the dispenser. Quick update, the plug and charge feature works very well. Still found it easy to charge with no wait time (although I guess that depends on the time of the day you’re there). Still a great site. “Update (June 2025): Just came back after 6 months… and it’s the same exact nightmare. Still packed with taxi drivers, and now the wait time is over 1 hour just to even get a charger. When I finally plugged in, I was getting only 28kW, and the car next to me was pulling 8kW — seriously, what a joke. These chargers are combo ports, so Tesla + CCS share 150kW total, which means slow speeds if two people are charging. Pricing is worse than ever: • 2am–9am: $0.45/kWh • 9am–4pm: $0.51/kWh • 4pm–9pm: $0.56/kWh • 9pm–2am: $0.49/kWh All plus tax, and there’s a $0.40/min idling fee after a 10-minute grace period. Still no improvements. Only Uber drivers get a discount—everyone else pays full price. Nothing has changed except prices went up and charging got slower. At this point, someone should start a petition to ban electric taxis in NYC or at least switch them to hybrids. This setup is wasting everyone’s time and money This place is an absolute mess. It’s always packed with taxi drivers, and the prices during peak hours are ridiculously high. On top of that, they only offer discounts for Uber drivers—nothing for anyone else. The setup is terrible. They have combo chargers with one side for Tesla and the other for CCS, but the total speed is just 150 kWh, which gets split into 75 kWh each. This makes charging painfully slow and a huge waste of time. Honestly, don’t buy an EV unless you have a home charger. Charging at stations like this is a scam—you pay more, wait forever for a spot, and then wait even longer to charge. Meanwhile, gas cars are cheaper and take 2-3 minutes to fill up. Save yourself the frustration and stick with gas if you can’t charge at home. Never coming back here unless I’m absolutely desperate. “Revel chargers are the worst. They should be banned in New York City. Their chargers are slow and expensive, and they only give you 30kW. Don’t come here if you’re really low on battery, like I was. I needed a charger ASAP, but it took over an hour to get a spot. And to top it off, it took more than an hour to charge 80%. They just want money and they just want to waste people’s time.
