“I charged here twice on two different nights in July 2023. I was making a trip to the middle of the UP. There is only ONE non-Tesla charger in the entire UP, in Escanaba, and I didn't want to risk it not working. So I juiced up here to 95% both nights. Most importantly: all four chargers at this station were available and they appeared to be working. My charger both nights worked without any glitches. And it was fast. The chargers are in the casino parking lot. I had dinner one night at the casino while my car charged, not the best but it was okay. Also, the charging station is within a 10 minute walk to downtown with a lot of restaurants and shops. I walked to Starbucks and also got some ice cream while my vehicle charged the second. That's a nice perk. The only downside is these chargers are expensive. After 30 minutes they start charging you $0.25 per minute just to park there. I paid $33 to charge about 50% of my battery. Still, given the endemic unreliability of northern Michigan's EV charging network, I'll accept that trade off.” — Nathan Miller, 3 years ago

“The charging station was slow and expensive. It worked at least but that's about the best thing I could say about this station. “Fast and easy for my GM auto; quick credit card swipe. I like the adjacency to the trailhead parking and kiosk offered by Mackinaw City. Sorry their restrooms weren’t open. Enjoyed the picnic tables.” — Tom Cook, a year ago
