“I would not recommend relying on the joulepoint EV charging station at this hotel. It simply doesn’t work, and the management’s response and support were disappointing. Just sharing my experience so other EV owners can plan better. The nearest DC fast charger is in Raichur, but that charger is in poor condition as well. The only saving grace is that it actually works. After that, the next reliable charging options on the Bengaluru route are at Kurnool or Gooty. If you’re driving an EV, make sure you arrive with at least 40–50% battery and don’t depend on this hotel’s charger. “The Joule Point charger at Mantralaya is a very important charging station for EV users, as there are no reliable charging options nearby. The charger itself works well—I received around 52 kW from the 60 kW DC charger, and the charging speed was excellent. However, the management needs improvement. The hotel security informed customers that the charger was not working, even though it was showing online and functioning properly. This can mislead EV travelers and cause unnecessary inconvenience. The charging area also needs better maintenance and cleanliness. I request Joule Point to maintain this location properly and ensure the hotel staff are informed about the charger’s actual status.
