“This was my first time using a Red E charge station. Using unfamiliar charge stations are always a little nerve-racking. The good news is it works great for Volvo EX 30. My experience was not the best at least 50% of that had nothing to do with the station. It was late at night. It was dark. It was freezing cold. It was freezing rain so of course that meant things were going to go wrong. The RFID reader wouldn’t work with any credit card. Credit cards wouldn’t swipe wouldn’t activate that way. It doesn’t take Apple Pay. The only thing I could do is download their app which is fine except that once I finally made an account added payment did all the things it really wasn’t clear on the steps of how you were supposed to initiate charge. So when you’re using the app you come in you open the app you tell the app which charger you’re gonna use you hit charge it processes your payment and then you go and plug in your car. Which is fine except that once you plug in your car it just sits there, but it does not tell you it’s processing, which would be really helpful to say that something was initiating other than that. It says that it’s a fast charger. It was not bad. I got a top of 81 kW. I was the only one here late at night. I should’ve been able to get a little bit more than that.
