“I was taking my daughter to buy a car; she's in love with Nissan. While she was talking to the salesperson, I plugged in my Chevy to charge. I sat inside my car because I didn't like the idea of being inside; buying a car is tedious. Well, here's what happened: the manager came and told me she needed to charge her car and pulled me out of the charger. I calmly replied that I had no other option, and she responded with a simple gesture (of course). Just like that. When we left, we couldn't get to another charging station and we were stuck on a corner. My daughter asked me, "But Dad, I left you charging!" When I told her, her disappointment was much greater than not getting charged. Of course, she never went back to buy her dream Nissan. I never knew charging was free until I tried to pay and realized it wasn't necessary. The fact that it's free doesn't give them the right to kick us out, let alone humiliate the person at the charger. And if it's free, why is the service on Google Maps and in the Uber and Lyft apps?
