What drivers have written

“The good, the bad, and the ugly. The Good: Used my phone to pay for the charging episode and it worked flawlessly. The handshake initiated within 30 secs and started charging. Rapidly ramped up to 207 kW (SOC 30%) which is not bad for a Rivian. Kept the charge above 100 kW until SOC at 70% then down to 80 kW. Price now 10/15/15 $0.40/kWh. Charging station at NO risk of being ICEd. There is ample room for your dog, kids, and spouse to roll around on the grass and do whatever they need to doo. Not necessarily bad but the charging cable is a little thick and heavy, not svelte like a Tesla charging cable but not the two handed monster of Mercedes-Benz charging stations. The Bad: It is literally 100 yards to the facilities. Thank God New Jersey is always sunny and 72 degrees otherwise that distance could be difficult. There is no canopy. The Ugly: Four stalls!! Seriously, four stalls? As an aside, there are 18 urinals in the men’s room. There are two 400 kW dispensers both with two plugs, NACS and CCS, so I assume if two vehicles are plugged in you share that 400 kW. The transformer is a 1500 KVA unit so they can easily add two more dispensers. But still four dispensers (eight stalls) are (is?) inadequate. In my opinion, NJTA should required the Tesla units to stay until GreenApple, at a minimum, matched the number of charging stalls.” — SLM, 11 months ago

“Not enough, unreliable, and overpriced. We went from 8 or more chargers per location down to 2-4. Price is higher than the Tesla chargers too. Who got the kickback for this scam?” — NS, 2 months ago

“The chargers are quick and work fine. But, there are not enough chargers. And one of the CCS spots is blocked by a handicap spot. I think it’s nice that there’s a handicap spot, but it’s a mile away from the main rest stop building! If you want a handicap charging spot, this is a terrible location. I need to charge CCS, and in order to not block the handicap spot, I have the park in the NACS spot. This station was designed extremely bad. I understand handicap people might drive EVs and need space to enter & exit their vehicle, but Applegreen should take a page from Tesla: make this spot “handicap priority.”” — Matt D, a year ago
