“Glad I purchased the Tesla adapter. Its coming in handy since there aren't too many alternatives to Tesla Superchargers in Texas so far. Rate $0.25/kWh Added 24.2kWh and was charged $11.86. 90 -> 178 miles Cute location, Taco Shop, Texas souvenir shop. I've been having to double check the Tesla app to make sure the chargers are online. Ive found more than. 2 so far on this trip that I do not recommend. I'm surprised there weren't more reviews warning of this on Google Maps. Got some BBQ for lunch while I was waiting and was really tempted to get a cowboy hat 🤠Met a couple with a Chevy Blazer attempting to charge for the first time at a Tesla SuperCharger who wanted help as I was finishing. They were traveling to Cleveland (I thought Ohio, but I guess theres a Cleveland, TX) I mentioned: 1) you'll need the Tesla App 2) pull up at an angle at the station since the station cords are short because Teslas charge close to the tailgate. 3) you'll need a NACS to CCS Adapter and the local Chevy dealership most likely will carry it. GM part number 85836744 (that's the DC fast charging / Supercharger adapter specifically — not the Level 2 residential one). They were given an adapter from the dealership but it didnt fit their car. “Perfect charging station. The travel plaza was super clean and had a lot of options. Fuzzy’s Tacos, Dunkin, and smokehouse BBQ. One of the best stations I’ve stopped at. I would choose this stop over Buc-ees any day. Tons of chargers even some that are pull through.” — Travis Matthews, a month ago
“This is a great Tesla stop , it has multiple food options at stop and a Burger King across the street. Bathroom was clean and they offer a showers as well . All Tesla stalls were up and running . Make sure to check out the mural in front of the taco joint from Colton Baker ( widow) . Rest stop itself was fun to explore !
