“This one is in the heart of New Orleans, very near to all the crowded streets. Being a newbie to the town, it was a mesh for me. The charger is inside a garage, which is relatively hard to find out. Tesla map will take you the entry of the garage where there are directions to get to the charger. Watch out for the directions carefully. It's a fast and good charger. But somehow the area stinks a little bit, could be because of the stagnant water puddles around the charger areas. It serves the purpose when u r inside the town.” — ANG, 8 months ago
“I only gave this two stars because we were Actually able to charge the car once we got in. That’s where the good news ends. First of all when you get to the location be prepared to arrive at a parking garage, not the typical Tesla supercharging area that you’re used to. Challenge one is getting into the parking garage which is blocked by a barrier arm that goes up and down like you typically see in a parking garage. If you’ve never used this system before what you don’t know is that you’ve got to have the location in your navigation on your Tesla and no to look for an access code when you arrive which you will need to get the gate to open and let you in. For the uninitiated such as myself this meant a call to the helpdesk for them to explain it to me. Once you’re finally in you can go to the second level which actually felt more like the third level and plug your car in to what for us were ample chargers available. Once you’re plugged in be prepared to sit in your car or pace level two (or is it three?) Until your car is finished charging. There are no amenities, no bathrooms, no convenient store or anything else. Just chargers. The final challenge is exiting the parking garage because when you get to the gate to leave, you’ve got to insert your ticket into the machine but you can’t unless you know that have your ticket on your dashboard so that’s some sensor in front of you can read it and then prompt the machine to prompt you to shove your ticket in the slot. You wind up with you and the other Tesla owners walking around talking to each other trying to figure it out. If you’re leaving New Orleans, particularly the French Quarter on a low charge and need to hit a supercharger on the way out, I recommend heading to the Winn-Dixie. I haven’t been there but I can’t imagine it’s as challenging or lacking in amenities as this one.” — Rob Deeds, 7 months ago
“I don't think they even use a code anymore to get in . We had to just pull on through the gate just like everyone else because nothing was working at the gate. Supercharger throttled us at 64 but worked fine. Very busy site and this part of town is ultra Sketchy. Poor signage for streets also.” — Shane Holcomb, 8 months ago
