“The FPL EVolution charging station is a hidden gem. As usual with ChargePoint branded stations, authenticating with my proximity card was quick and hassle-free. Charging ramped up to 120 kW, and what really impressed me was the location—a lovely municipal park with benches, picnic tables, and trash receptacles. This site boasts four ChargePoint fast chargers, each capable of 125 kW. Every charger has a CCS dispenser, three of the four include Tesla NACS dispensers, and there’s even one CHAdeMO dispenser for Nissan Leaf legacy owners. The variety of options here is fantastic, catering to all types of EVs. Even though I didn’t need to charge, I stopped here just to review the station. These ChargePoint fast chargers are top-notch, and I love how the city placed them in such a great spot. Kudos to FPL for always keeping these chargers operational. The park setting makes waiting a pleasure, with plenty of places to sit and relax. Big kudos to ChargePoint for maintaining what I consider the second-best network for DC fast chargers. Although my experience with reviewing charging stations hasn’t been extensive, ChargePoint consistently impresses me with their reliability and ease of use. In short, the FPL EVolution charging station offers a great charging experience. High-speed chargers, a beautiful park setting, and ChargePoint’s dependable service make this location stand out. “This charger isn't free but it's located in a really good spot where you might find yourself needing electricity. It is at the intersection of State Route 70 that joins Bradenton and Fort Pierce, with US 98 which is next to the Okeechobee police department. You're pretty far from the high speed Superchargers along I-95. There are four chargers here - four CCS, three NACS and one CHAdeMO. All are running at 125 kW with the prices set by Florida Power & Light. Guest session is $0.99 and it's $0.30 per kW. As you're right in front of the police station, it has a nice feel for security.
