“I have used three of these four stations located at the Collection shopping center in Oxnard off the 101 freeway. However, in my last two visits, both of the stations near the Whole Foods were kaput, and customer service inside the store said they could not get an answer about when they might be fixed. And a third station, near the movie theater, is unusable by most people since it is between a sidewalk and a disabled parking spot. So as far as I know now, only one of the Volta stations may be usable. Luckily I have a Volt and wasn't desperate for a charge. “Volta Chargers are free (advertising paid) Level 2 EV chargers (~6.6kw) with J1772 connectors. This location has two (sort of) with one in the main parking lot (where the map marker is) and one in an accessible/handicap spot. This second spot was likely placed there to give the volta station better visibility for the ads it displays but causes nothing but confusion and frustration for actual EV owners. EV drivers aren't sure if they are allowed to park there if they do not have an accessible/handicap placard/license plate and the Collection security guards think that it's just a handicap/accessible parking spot. California law states that any charger installed in an accessible/handicap spot is first an EV charging spot (non-handicap/accessible vehicles can charge here) and that they should be placarded accordingly. This spot does not comply with California law and should be re-placarded accordingly. What typically ends up happening is accessible/handicap drivers park here, blocking the spot for anyone who wants to charge resulting in almost no ability to utilize this spot for charging.
