What drivers have written

“Just bought a new washer at the Paso Robles Idlers. They had the exact one I wanted and it was priced very competitively. I was able to get it in 3 days and the customer service was excellent. It was just installed today and the guys were great. Super friendly and professional. They were in and out and hauled away my old washer. Easy peasy! I highly recommend Idlers. It was a great experience.” — Elisabeth K, 4 months ago

“Over 12 years we have purchased two clothes washers, two clothes dryers, one refrigerator, one dishwasher, and one hot tub. In short, we’ve been loyal customers, but that is changing. A high end Bosch dishwasher was installed improperly just before Thanksgiving 2024. To their credit, a second technician discovered the improper installation and corrected the mistake after Thanksgiving (lots of handwashing those dishes). We recently experienced problems with the Bosch unit and sought assistance from Bosch online. The problem was not resolved so we called Idler’s. A service call was arranged only after we paid a $150 fee in advance. That was odd, and should have been a clue. The problem was diagnosed as a faulty pump — a $48 part. Installation would be another $150 fee. Here’s where it’s interesting. Before the pump could be ordered and an installation date scheduled, Idler’s required full payment — parts and labor — in advance. We have never paid a labor charge in advance of the work being done to anyone. The cost of a special order part is understandable, but the labor? When we questioned that business practice, the manager said they require advance payment because they have lost “thousands of dollars” when customers refuse to pay. We think Idler’s needs to reevaluate their business model. For our part, we will shop elsewhere.” — renstelloh3, 2 months ago

“I just had a new fridge delivered today and, as usual, the whole process was smooth and professional from start to finish. This was my third purchase from Idler's - I love to be able to buy locally and am very happy with the selection and pricing at Idler's Home but the delivery teams really set them apart from the rest. On time, great communication, delivered to the exact spot and each team member was courteous, professional and attentive to detail. I will continue to shop at Idler's Home whenever possible - #shoplocal!” — Laurie Meininger, 3 months ago
