What drivers have written
“The chargers here are often unavailable. I would trust 2 of the 3 chargers to be usable, and they are often occupied.” — Peter L, 3 months ago
“These charging stations are constantly down or malfunctioning. Often, when I visit this station at least half (or more) of the chargers are down, leading to extremely long wait times. When the chargers are supposedly working, they will sometimes malfunction and randomly disconnect from your vehicle, which can lead to customers being unfairly charged due to idle. This weekend, at the station near my home (1701 Santa Rita Rd, Pleasanton, CA 94566), I plugged my car in to charge and went into the nearby Safeway. The charger only worked for approximately 16 minutes before it randomly stopped delivering a charge to my vehicle due to some kind of technology malfunction. I鈥檝e had this happen before at these chargers, but this was the first time the charger had disconnected for this long. When I came outside after completing my shopping, my car had only reached a 68% charge, and I was met with a $10 fee for idle time. I called customer service to request a refund since the fee was associated with Electrify America鈥檚 charger malfunctioning. The customer service agent was incredibly unhelpful and basically was trying to blame me as the customer. I spent nearly an hour on the phone trying to get a refund. Eventually, I asked to speak to a supervisor because of the incompetence of the customer service agent. After waiting nearly an hour, the agent said that a supervisor would be calling me back, but I never received a call back. It is absolutely unacceptable that Electrify America is charging customers when their technology malfunctions. As a customer, I have completely lost confidence in Electrify America chargers from this situation and many before it. If you can鈥檛 trust that you can leave your car charging and not come back to an idle fee because the charger randomly disconnected, it defeats the entire purpose of having public chargers near grocery stores and other locations where customers could leave their car to charge. Further, a notable factor in my decision to lease my Audi Q8 E-Tron was the two years of free charging. Due to Electrify America鈥檚 poor operations practices and false promises, I believe there is likely a case for a potential class action lawsuit. Regardless, something needs to be done.” — Jesse, a year ago
“Just terrible - never trust the app to properly show functional or vacant chargers, rarely trust the chargers to work properly and always depend on the support to be completely useless and immensely frustrating 馃憥” — Kyle Wim van der Holst, 11 months ago
